      Honored at Bridge [Clarendon Hall]

Yanceyville, N.C., July 23. -- One of the loveliest bridge parties of the season was that given last Friday evening by Miss Mary Jane Jones complimentary to her cousin Miss Mildred Louise Adams of Danville. A variety of summer flowers lent a festive air to the lower floor of the old colonial home where five tables were arranged for play. George Oliver was awarded the prize for high score and the honor guest was presented with an attractive gift.

Delightful refreshments were served by the hostess at the conclusion of the game. Those accepting Miss Jones' hospitality were: Misses Mildred Adams, Lois Moore, Dorothy White, Katherine Malloy, Annie Winstead, Mary Kerr Motz, Helen Williamson, Jessica Oliver, Patty Gunn. Herbert White, Dabney Williamson, Clem Lipscomb, D. T. Watkins, T. B. Anderson, Jr., Richard Johnston, Bill Newman, George Oliver, Giles Jones and W. L. Smith of Richmond.
