Sam Stanfield is claimed by death at home here
Sam W Stanfield, 68-year old farmer, died at his home in the Bonny Creek Section of Franklin Tuesday night about 11 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Sugarfork Baptist Church.

Funeral services held at Sugarfork
Funeral services for Sam W Stanfield were held last Friday at 2:30 o'clock at the Sugarfork Baptist Church.
Mr Stanfield, 68, died at his home in the Bonny Creek section Tuesday night of last week following a brief illness. A native of this county, he was a farmer. He belonged to the Salem Methodist Church The funeral services were conducted by the Rev Charles E Parker and the Rev Arvil Swafford. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Lillie Rogers; two sons, Willie, of Franklin, and T L of Pontiac, Mich; four daughters, Mrs Therone W Horne, of Charlotte, Mrs Doyle Morgan, of Atlanta, Mrs Claude Crunkleton, of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs Ettie Straine, of Sacramento, Calif, and Mrs R N Shook, of Franklin, Star Route; two brothers, Mack Stanfield, of California, and George Stanfield of Arkansas; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers, all nephews, were Lawson Shook, Troy Shook, Raleigh Shook, Howard Shook, Ezra Shook, and Ennis Tilson.
Honorary pallbearers, also nephews, were Bulin Tilson, Henry Tilson, Lyle Tilson, Earl Rogers, Clyde Rogers, and William Rogers. The following nieces served as flower-bearers: Mrs Lawson Shook, Mrs Pearl Holland, Mrs Mattie Evans, Mrs Robert Brown, Mrs John Morgan, and Mrs Hunter Young. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Bryant Funeral Home.
