  • Notes
    • This area on the Mebane family may contain errors. Note that North Carolina: The Old North State and the New, Volume IV, Archibald Henderson, Editor (1941) (available at Ancestry.com) states that David Mebane, the youngest son of Colonel Alexander Mebane married first Ann Allen of the Hawfields, and they became parents of a large family. David Mebane married second Elizabeth Yancey of Caswell County, and they had one daughter. He predeceased his second wife by many years. Obviously, this section of the Caswell County Family Tree requires further attention. Please submit your input to the CCHA or leave a Post-Em note.
