Apr 29, 2009 - 10:56:54 am CDT Yanceyville (The Caswell Messenger) - Mrs. Clarice Bigelow Poole, of 930 Boy Scout Camp Rd., died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in the Annie Penn Memorial Hospital, Reidsville, NC. She was a native of Caswell County, NC the daughter of the late Hollis Preston Bigelow and Mary Fuller Bigelow, born November 14, 1937. She was a member of Graves Chapel Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Caswell County Training School class of 1955. She later attended Alamance Technical Community College.She was an employee of Caswell County School System for 30 years as the Cafeteria Manager at N.L. Dillard Middle School before retirement.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Willard Bigelow. Her survivors are husband, Lee Poole of the home; 1 son, Garry Poole (Patricia) of Yanceyville, NC; 2 daughters, Mrs. Sheila Poole Scarver (Michael) of Reidsville, NC, and Mrs. Shanna Poole Jeffers (Tracy) of Elon, NC; 3 sisters, Ms. Judy B. Corbett of Yanceyville, NC, Mrs. Margaret B. Mitchell (King) of Burlington, NC and Mrs. Janet B. Royal (Ralph) of Greensboro, NC; 3 brothers, Ervin Bigelow (Geneva) of Yanceyville, NC, Hollis Bigelow (Brenda) of Burlington, NC and Kenneth Bigelow (Coretta) of Winston- Salem, NC; 1 sister-in-law, Lottie Mae Bigelow of Yanceyville, NC; 2 aunts, Mrs. Alberta Foskey and Mrs. Margaret Donahue both of Greensboro, NC; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends .
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 25, 2009 1:00 PM at Graves Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Spencer Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A viewing will be Friday evening from 2 to 8 pm at Fulton Funeral Home Chapel. The family may be contacted at her residence 930 Boy Scout Camp Rd. Yanceyville, NC. Fulton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
