- Semora - Carolyn Yarbrough Cole, 86, of Semora, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2023. Born in Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late Maynard (Monk) Yarbrough and Frances Hyler Yarbrough. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Ivan Cole and her brother, Wesley Yarbrough. Surviving are her daughter, Denise C. Lipscomb (Steve) of Semora; sister, Shirley Pruitt and sister-in-law, Diane Yarbrough; two grandchildren: Kristin Lipscomb Beavers (John) and Steven Max Lipscomb (Raven); two great-grandchildren: Sofie Lipscomb and Bennett Beavers.
Carolyn was loved by her family and many others. She loved talking to everyone and knew many people in Person County, by her work as a receptionist at Dr. Hughes office and Roxboro Medical. Carolyn loved her great-grandchildren and grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face when ever you saw her.
Graveside service were held Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 at the Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating. The family received friends following the service.
