"James Yancey was br. 1712 in Hanover Co., Va. and was the son of ______________ Yancey and Ann Bartlett. James Yancey m. Ann Thornton who d. 1735. Both were buried in Granville Co., N. C."
According to the 1704 King William County, Virginia Quit Rent Rolls, a Charles Yancey owned 100 acres.
