- Elizabeth "Bettie" Howard married Iverson Glass and their children included Mary Elizabeth Glass who married Alfonze Stokes Gatewood. Alfonze was born 20 July 1868, son of William H. Gatewood and Mary Hodges. Bettie and Alfonze had nine children. Source: The Beaver Pond Neals of Virginia, Carl B. Neal (1965).
