Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Howard Daniel Graves 64, of 82 Brotherhood Rd. Yanceyville, NC who died Thursday, October 25, 2007 in the Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, VA. He was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina, the son of Mary Eva Stokes Graves and the late Albert Graves, born November 23, 1942. He was a former employee of Copland Mills in Burlington as a machine operator. He joined Mineral Springs Baptist Church at an early age. He was preceded in death by one step daughter, Jacqueline Taylor.
His survivors are wife, Mrs. Odella T. Graves of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Lillie W. Sinewy (Johnnie) of Greensboro, NC; mother, Mrs. Mary Eva Stokes Graves of Yanceyville, NC; one step son, James U. Jefferson, Jr. (Regina) of Antonio, Texas; one step daughter, Ms. Cheryl Taylor of Baltimore, MD; four brothers, Thomas Edward Graves (Donna) of Greensboro, NC, Robert Mitchell Graves (Sharon), and Joshua Graves (Mae Fannie) all of Pelham, NC and Linzy Graves (Sheridan) of Ruffin, NC; two sisters, Ms. Mary Graves Simpson of Yanceyville and Mrs. Annie Slade (Bedford) of Yanceyville, NC; two grandchildren, five step grandchildren, brothers in law, sisters in law, four aunts, three uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Howard Daniel Graves were Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 2:30 pm at Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Pastor Freddie Seabrook delivered the eulogy. Interment followed in the church cemetery. A viewing was Saturday evening from 2:00 until 8:00 pm at Fulton Funeral Home Chapel. The family was contacted at his residence, 82 Brotherhood Rd., Cherry Grove Community and at the residence of his mother at 3460 Foster Rd., Yanceyville, NC. All arrangements for Mr. Howard Daniel Graves were entrusted to Fulton Funeral Home 219 Dillard School Dr. Yanceyville, NC.
