Robert Selton Stanback, Sr.

Ruffin, NC - Robert Selton Stanback, Sr. of 2430 Quick Road died Saturday, at the Annie Penn Hospital. As a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, he was a retiree of Burlington Industries and the farming industry. With courage and tenacity, he served his country during World War 11 and was honorably discharged. Spiritually, he was a faithful member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where he formerly served as treasurer of the Sunday School. Survivors are, beloved wife, Ruth Williamson Stanback of the home; three daughters, Erlene Stanback of the home, Minister Catherine Burns and spouse, John Jr. of Reidsville, Stephanie Roberts of Reidsville; three sons, Robert Stanback, Jr. and spouse, Evelyn of Winston Salem, David Stanback of Greensboro, Leo A. Stanback of Denver, Colorado, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Pelham. Reverend Gregory L. Hopkins will preside and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family visitation will be Tuesday from 1:30 until 2:00 pm at the church. Funeral arrangements are by Johnson & Son.
