    • Catherine Williamson Bigelow

      Yanceyville, N.C. - Catherine Williamson Bigelow, of 1033 N. Main St. and formerly of New Rochelle, N.Y., died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004 at her residence in Yanceyville. She was a native of Caswell County, N.C., the daughter of the late Fred B. Williamson and Mary Totten Williamson. At an early age she joined Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church. She later went to New Rochelle, N.Y., where she became a member of Union Baptist Church and a member of the senior usher ministries and hospitality ministries. She was also a lifetime member of the NAACP. She was a homemaker. She was married to the late Troy Lee Bigelow Sr.

      She is survived by one son, Troy Lee Bigelow Jr. of New Rochelle, N.Y.; one daughter, Mary Catherine Bigelow of New Rochelle, N.Y.; one brother, Fred Junior Williamson of Yanceyville; one sister, Martha Eargle of New Rochelle, N.Y.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, William (Bill) Totten.

      The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Cedar Grove Memorial Building, Route 158 West, Yanceyville, with Pastor Reginald L. Hudson, senior pastor of Union Baptist Church in New Rochelle, N.Y., delivering the eulogy. Interment will be in the Yanceyville Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. The body may be viewed 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fulton Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be at the residence, 1033 N. Main St., Yanceyville. Fulton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
