Ada Louise Corbett Walker, 81, passed on January 18, 2021. Louise was born to Ossie Ambos David Corbett and Ada Morrow Corbett in Caswell, North Carolina on September 29, 1939. She is preceded in death by her husband John Oscar (Pete) Walker and her son Kenneth Wayne Walker.
Louise married Pete Walker in 1957 and they lived in Caswell County, North Carolina and together they raised 4 children. Louise worked as a Home maker and was very passionate about caring for her family. She was a vital part of the day to day operations on the farm. Louise was well known for her oven fried chicken, pintos, red kool-aid and delectable pies. She was a very active and dedicated member of Allred New Mission Baptist Church. Deaconess to Deacon John Walker, she served as Mother of the church, on the Usher Board, a cook on the Kitchen Committee and in the Senior Choir. Louise enjoyed cooking, gardening, gospel music and spending time with her family. Louise was full of charisma and had a smile that would light a room.
Louise is survived by Johnny Lee Walker of Burlington, Oscar Walker of Caswell County, and Sandra Kaye Walker of the home. Louise is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Alisia Dallas (Franklin Jr.) of Lexington, Justin Matthew Walker of the home, Brittany Veronica Walker of Charlotte, Cameron Walker Eubanks of Lexington, Marleigh Marie Dallas of Lexington and Franklin Lamar Dallas III of Lexington. Louise is also survived by her brother Melvin Corbett (Elizabeth) of Caswell County and James Corbett of Caswell County. She is preceded in death by 6 other siblings, Alice Poteat (Tom), Vergil Corbett (Martha Ann), John Corbett (Ophelia), Mary Ruth Watlington (Richard), Betty Sue Graves, David Corbett (Viola).
Funeral services were held at Allred New Mission Baptist Church at 2pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Burial was in the church cemetery. Condolences may be posted to blackwellfuneral.com. Services entrusted to Blackwell Funeral Home.
