The following is from An Inventory of Historic Architecture: Caswell County, North Carolina, Ruth Little-Stokes (1979) at 149:
"Photo 214. Kinch Williams House. ca. 1820. 2-story frame Federal style house, with rear interior chimneys flush with wall surface, find modillion cornice, some beaded siding, molded surrounds, symmetrical facade with center double door entrance with transom."

John Dodson Smith and Anita Katherine Williams were the last couple to live in the house shown above. It was inherited by the sister of John Dodson Smith, Eva Clarice Smith Wilson, who lived there for a few years. Today, the house is derelict.

No children survived childbirth. One son was born in 1927 but died during childbirth.

Tobacco Barns Burn: W. A. Oldham of near Taylor's store lost a new tobacco barn and its contents by fire last Friday. Johnnie Smith of Hamer also lost a barn Saturday night. The Caswell Messenger (Yanceyville, North Carolina), 17 August 1944.
