Mrs. Foster is a graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Danville, Va., and is at present at member of the hospital staff. The groom, graduate of Bartlett Yancey [High] School, Yanceyville, attended High Point Business College and after four and a half years in the armed services, is now employed at Swann's Service Station near Yanceyville.

Yanceyville, NC - "Woody" Foster, Woodrow Wilson Foster 87, of 770 Main Street died Thursday November 9, 2006 at his residence following a long period of declining health. He was born in Caswell County December 11, 1918, to the late Thomas and Lillie Smith Foster. He was Secretary and Treasurer for A. D. Swann Trucking Company for many years. He attended Caswell County Schools and High Point Business College. Mr. Foster was a charter member of the Central Caswell Ruritan Club, serving as Treasurer for many years, and an avid hunter and gardener. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was also a life long member of First Baptist Church, a choir member, deacon, and Sunday School Superintendent.
Funeral Services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by members of the American Legion Post 0089. Survivors are wife, Virginia J. Foster of the home, two daughters, Marilyn F. Thomas of Chicago, IL, Patsy F. Lovell and husband, "Butch" of Greensboro, one son, Alvin Foster and wife Carol of Yanceyville, three grandchildren, Stephen Foster and wife, Anna, Andrew Foster and Jerri Capone, and one sister, Mattie F. Hooper of Yanceyville.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Annie Satterfield, Eva "Doll" Hudson, and Nettie Hudson, brothers Ernest Foster, Tom Foster, and Earl "Dutch" Foster. His Stepmother, Nannie Hundley Foster also predeceased him.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at Harrelson Funeral Home, and at other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Central Caswell Ruritan Club, P.O. Box 523, Yanceyville, NC 27379.
