- Mary B. (Dolly) Jackson, 82, of Roxboro died Saturday, June 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born and raised in Milton, Caswell County to the late Thomas William Buck and Velera Hamlett Buck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Freeman Jackson; son, Kenneth Thomas Jackson; three siblings, Dorothy Blalock, Thomas Lee Buck and Ealyse Bowen. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Montwood Baptist Church. Her church and church family were very special to her. She worked many years at the Children’s Learning Center; she loved every child she cared for and her coworkers. Surviving are two sons, Larry Jackson (Lynne) and Bob Jackson (Sheila), both of Roxboro; two grandchildren, Jared Jackson and Courtney Jackson; special cousin, Elsie Criner; special niece, Martha Carol Allsup; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Ann Buchanan for her devotion to our mother.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Person Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Wooten officiating. Pallbearers will be Rodney Day, Mike D. Shotwell, Clyde Kerley, Greg Hawkins, Mike Hawkins, Mark Hawkins, Lanny Vaughan, Allen Sears, Merritt Jones and Jimmy Hamlett. Memorials may be made to Montwood Baptist Church, 4416 Boston Road, Roxboro, NC 27573. Condolences may be sent to www.brooksandwhite.com.
