Frances Guthrie Wiley
Raleigh, NC--Frances Guthrie Wiley, 87, of 3621 Nancy Lane, Raleigh, NC passed away Saturday, October 1, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Wiley was born July 16, 1918 in Caswell County, NC, the daughter of the late Samuel Ira Guthrie and Mary Huggins Guthrie. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was retired from Dan River Mills, Inc after 15 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in eath by her husband, Morris C. Wiley on October 18, 1994.
She is survived by one daughter; Kay W. Ferguson of Raleigh, NC and one son; Jim C. Wiley of Greensboro, NC. Other survivors include one brother; Henry Guthrie of Danville, VA, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A graveside service was held Monday, October 3, 2005 at Providence Baptist Church cemetery, with Reverend John Martin officiating. The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday at Marley Funeral Home. Marley Funeral Home, Yanceyville, NC was entrusted with all arrangements.
