_______________
Edd Cook owned and operated the Goodyear store on the west side of the Square in Yanceyville between the A. H. Motz building and the Yanceyville Fire Department building. The building, leased from T. S. Lea, burned in 1962. Apparently, after this business burned Ed Cook worked as a salesman at Yanceyville Auto Sales, Inc. (owned, at least in part, by Robert White Wilson.

Fire Guts Firm In Yanceyville
Yanceyville, N.C. -- An early morning blaze gutted the Cook Tire Recapping Service here today as fire fighting units from Yanceyville, Caswell County, Milton, and Danville, Va., were called in to fight the fire. Edd Cook, owner of the company, said today the fire completely destroyed the stock and equipment of his concern and placed the value in excess of $25,000, some of which was insured.
The fire, which broke out at about 4 a.m., swept through the building rapidly and threatened a storage building located nearby. Damage to the storage structure was restricted in water damage, however.
Cook said all papers and records were destroyed. He said the building was being leased from T. S. Lea of Yanceyville.
