Winner, Maurice S. "Marc," 79, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
He was a retired civil engineer, an Army veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne Division and the Civil Intelligence Division, a member of Highview Baptist Church, Gideon's International and Kentuckiana Petroleum Club, and a Meals on Wheels volunteer. He was preceded in death by his son, Maurice S. Winner Jr; and first wife, Dottie Lou (Douglas) Winner (1942-1994). He is survived by his wife, five children, four grandchildren, a sister, and three stepchildren. His funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday at Highview Baptist Church, 7711 Fegenbush Lane, with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Gideon's International. Published in The Courier-Journal on Oct. 23, 2008.
