      Jun 23, 2009 - 03:54:10 pm CDT William Fletcher Barnette, Sr., formerly of Reidsville, died Tuesday upon arrival to Morehead Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Person County and was a resident of Caswell County for the majority of his life. Mr. Barnette was a retiree of the Coplin Corporation and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Leasburg. Survivors are: a loving daughter, Melissa B. Rogers and spouse, Lawrence; four devoted sons, William Barnette, Jr., Franklin Barnette and companion, Linda, Timothy Barnette, Michael Barnett and spouse, Carolyn, all of Reidsville; beloved mother, Bessie H. Rone of Yanceyville; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Catherine Garrett of Greensboro, Drucilla Lea and spouse, Jerry, Daisy Rosando of Leasburg, Annie Allen of Yanceyville; two brothers, Douglas Rone and Joseph Rone of Yanceyville; other relatives and a multitude of treasured friends.

      Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday from the Beulah Baptist Church, 3027 Highway 119, Leasburg. Rev. Jerry Wilson will preside and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family visitation will be Monday from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the church and may be contacted other times at 2404 Richardson Drive. Funeral arrangements are by Johnson & Sons.
