  Vernell "Billy" Willis Aug 05, 2008 - 10:35:33 pm CDT (The Caswell Messenger) Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Vernell "Billy" Willis, 68, of 4476 US Hwy 15j8 W. who died August 1, 2008 in the Brian Center Nursing Facility. He was a native of Caswell County, NC born December 6, 1939, the son of the late Percy W. Willis, Jr. and Pauline Bushnell Willis. He was a member of Blackwell Baptist Church and was a farmer before he became disabled. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Bernard Willis and Ray Lee Willis. His survivors are one sister, Mrs. Sadie Willis Wheeler of Yanceyville, NC; four aunts, Mrs. Bernice Gwynn of Greensboro, NC, Mrs. Sadie Harrison of Washington, DC and Hazel Willis of Big Island, VA; a devoted friend, Paul Dillard of Yanceyville, NC; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Vernell "Billy" Willis will be Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 2 o'clock pm at Blackwell Baptist Church. Pastor Everett Dickerson will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family visitation will be at 1:30 pm before the funeral service at the church. A viewing will be Monday evening from 2 o'clock pm until 8 o'clock pm at Fulton Funeral Home Chapel. The family may be contacted at his residence, 4476 U.S. Hwy 158 W. Yanceyville, NC. All arrangements for Mr. Vernell "Billy" Willis are entrusted to Fulton Funeral Home, 219 Dillard School Dr. Yanceyville, NC.
