- Elizabeth ("Betty") Graves (5) was born 14 Feb. 1720 in Spotsylvania Co., VA, and died 6 Jan. 1826 in Green Co., KY. She married William Sandidge (or Sandridge), son of William Sandidge and Anne Pulliam. He died testate in Albemarle Co., VA, probated July 1777. His will was dated 16 Jan. 1776, and mentioned all his children. A note of interest concerning the Sandridge name is that the original spelling is Sandwich, pronounced Sandage or Sandige. The letter "r" was added to the spelling of the name during the Revolutionary War period, reason unknown. In the Green Co., KY Circuit Case number 5593, dated 1826, John Hall and wife, Milly vs. John Sandidge, Elizabeth and William’s children were recorded. The document stated that Mary, William, Ann, and Susannah were deceased. According to R‑256, there was another child named Nancy Sandidge, born 1762, however she was not listed in the 1826 case. (R‑14, R‑138, R‑169, R‑256, R‑304, R‑911).
