Charles C. Critcher owned and operated a buggy shop in Roxboro, North Carolina. He also functioned as an undertaker (funeral director). In 1902 he married Maud Corinna Stanfield. The couple had a daughter that died young. Corinna Maud Stanfield Critcher died in 1910, and in 1911 Charles C. Critcher married his second wife, Margaret Lawson. They had three children, one who died young. Charles C. Critcher died in 1925 from typhoid fever.
