Louise Mise (1920-2011)
Jul 19, 2011 - Rockingham, North Carolina: Louise Mise Neal died Sunday, July 17, 2011. She was born in Caswell County, North Carolina on September 24, 1920 to the late Walter Carson Mise and wife, Tressie Edmunds Mise. Her brothers, Earl C. Mise and Allen M. Mise predeceased her. She is survived by a son, F. Brent Neal and wife, Katherine D. Neal of Rockingham, NC. She is also survived by two grandsons, Dr. F. Brent Neal, Jr. and wife, Sarah Neal of Asheville, NC and John Duncan Neal and wife, Kelly Neal of St. Petersburg, FL and by two great granddaughters, Margaret D. Neal and Claire R. Neal, both of Asheville, NC.
She retired from the Logistics Command of the Department of Defense. She did tours of duty at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey; Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, Texas; Fort Lee, Virginia; and Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She became a member of the Toastmaster's Club, achieving the position of Local Governor and Area Lt. Governor of Toastmasters. She moved from Williamsburg, VA to Rockingham, NC in 1993. She became an avid gardener.
The family had visitation at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham, NC from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Yanceyville Methodist Church Cemetery, Yanceyville, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 N. US Hwy 1, Rockingham, NC 28379 or Hospice of Scotland County, PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
