Leland, North Carolina - John Mark Frederick, 58, of Leland, passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011. He was born on Jan. 7, 1953 to the late Marshall and Virginia Frederick. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Virginia Frederick and his brother Merle Frederick. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Debbie Frederick; son, Stefan Frederick; sisters, Carol Monk and husband, Tommy, Jan Wooten and husband, Andy; nieces, Tammy Cozart, Christy Godkin, and Traci Wooten; in-laws, Shell and Loretta Crotts; sister-in-law Karen Adkins and husband, Larry; brother-in-law Don Crotts and wife, Patricia, and daughter, Chrissy. Mark also leaves behind his Progress Energy family, where he was employed for 39 years at sites including Roxboro, Weatherspoon and Sutton. A memorial service will be Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. at Coble Ward-Smith, Oleander Chapel with Dr. Barbara Bell officiating.
