- Andrew's wife was Mary Jones, daughter of Richard and Mary Ann Foster Jones. Andrew married her on March 18, 1858 in Caswell County. Mary Jones was previously married to William Hooper and had one child by him, a son, Rufus Hooper b. abt 1856. Andrew Jackson Kimbrough and Mary Jones had the following known children; Alberta b. abt 1862, Isabella "Mary Belle" b. abt 1864, Mattie b. abt 1866, George b. abt 1868 and daughter Elizabeth Shelton Kimbro b. abt 1859. Elizabeth Shelton Kimbro was the first wife of Peyton Fuqua Lunsford; they married in Caswell County on February 15, 1881 and had one daughter, Mattie b. April 1884. Elizabeth died about 1892.
