      Leasburg, NC - Dennis Neal Brann, 48, of 102 Percy Brann Rd., died Friday, August 25, 2006, at Duke University Medical Center. Born in Person County, Mr. Brann is son of Percy Brann, Jr. and Joann Pleasant Brann, of Leasburg. Mr. Brann was a supervisor with the NC Department of Transportation in Caswell County. He served as Deputy Chief of the Leasburg Volunteer Fire Department having previously served as Chief.

      In addition to his parents, Mr. Brann is survived by his wife, Emily Davis Brann; one daughter, Ginny Brann Dew and husband Kevin, of Leasburg; one son, Steven Neal Brann, of Leasburg; three brothers, Rodney Brann, Mark Brann and Dale Brann, all of Leasburg; two step-grandchildren, Emily Dew and Matthew Dew.

      Funeral services will be held 3PM Sunday at Leasburg United Methodist Church by the Rev. Laura Stern. Burial will follow in Leasburg Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Saturday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

      Pallbearers will be Marc Pollard, Junior Fuquay, Derek Dixon, Bill Turner, Mike Davis, Stacey Kendrick, Randy Brann, and Cecil Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Leasburg Volunteer Fire Department.

      Memorials may be made to the Leasburg Volunteer Fire Department, 5783 NC 119 N., Leasburg, NC, 27291, or to a charity of one's choice.
