Obituary of Isabelle White Rice
Myrtle Beach, SC - Isabelle W. Rice, 86 died Wednesday March 8, 2006 at Myrtle Beach Estates. She was born May 5, 1919 in Danville, VA a daughter of the late James Ansel and Ada B. Goodson White. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence P. Rice and her sister, Stella Wrenn. Mrs. Rice was a member of the Yanceyville Presbyterian Church and the Yanceyville Bridge Club. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and her family is her greatest legacy. Survivors include a son, Jim Rice and his wife, Georgeanne and a daughter, Judy Rice Hawes and her husband, Richard all of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother, James A. White of Yanceyville, NC; six grandchildren, Carson, Harrison, Tim, Spencer, Tanner and Tolley and one great-grandson, Jack.
Funeral services were held 2:00 PM Sunday March 12, 2006 at Yanceyville Presbyterian Church in Yanceyville, NC with Rev. Hal McElroy officiating. Burial followed the service in the church cemetery. The family greeted friends following the service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Yanceyville Presbyterian Church, 125 Church Street West, Yanceyville, NC 27379. According to the 1930 US Census her name was Sally Isabelle White, which record also states that she was born in North Carolina.
