    • Postmaster at Blanche, North Carolina, 1914-1934. Farm that contains the Walters family cemetery apparently is named "North Bend." He never remarried his wife died in 1896.

      J. B. Walters to Be Buried Today: News was received here yesterday of the death of J. B. Walters, of Blanche, N. C., at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank W. Lea, at Wilson, N. C. He passed away on Sunday morning. He is survived by two daughters and a son, Mrs. Lea, Mrs. Roy P. Gordon, of Union Level, and Charles S. Walters, of Greensboro, N. C. The funeral was held at two o'clock this afternoon from Blanch Baptist Church.
