      Milton N.C.

      My dear Mrs Winstead.

We received today the $25,000 par value of bonds mentioned in the first paragraph of the will of your late husband & enclose our official receipt therefor.

In sending these bonds to us you evidently overlooked the fact that the $13,000 Liberty Bonds are registered in the name of Edwin Daniel Winstead & of course in this form they are not transferable. However we are issuing our receipt for the entire amount & will ask you as Executrix to effect the transfer of these bonds as soon as possible.

In order to make this transfer it will be necessary for you to affix your signature.
