    Notes
    • Banister Moorefield and Susan Martha Comer were married on 28 Jun 1824. Thomas Comer witnessed the marriage. Leroy Moorefield and Susannah Throckmorton were married on 31 Oct 1827. Thomas Comer was both bondsman and witness. Because Sharp Throckmorton, father of Susannah, signed for her, Thomas Comer must have been bondsman for Leroy Moorefield. Apparently, there was a close connection between Thomas Comer, and the Moorefields; and there is a strong suggestion that Banister and Leroy were brothers. (According to Phyllis Morefield, in the 1820 census Sharp Throckmorton and Wilmouth Stokes Moorefield, probable mother of Banister and Leroy, lived near each other). Source: William F. Moorefield III

  • Notes
    • Elijah and Elisha were twins.

Connection between Elijah and Leroy. Leroy and Susannah Throckmorton Moorefield named twin sons Elijah and Elisha, perhaps after Leroy's his brother Elijah, or possibly Leroy and Elijah had a non Moorefield grandfather named Elijah. Source: William F. Moorefield III
