  Raymond I. Millner (1908-1971) (for larger image, click on photograph) _______________ Died 2 September 1971 when his pickup truck collided with a Caswell County school bus on the Parks Spring Road near Buster Payne's antique shop. The school bus was turning left and was on the wrong side of the road. Millner was thrown from the pickup truck and run over by the bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Several youngsters in the bus were injured as was Millner's grandson Johnny Millner Hodges, a passenger in the pickup truck. Deceased operated a grocery store on the Parks Spring Road. The school bus driver was Mark Harrelson.
