    • Joseph Carrithers Allison (1837-1916)

      Joseph Allison was a Justice of the Peace and performed many marriage ceremonies from his home. He operated a Post Office in his home for some time and also ran a general store nearby. He was a woodright and made caskets in a shop near his home. Civil War veteran.

      Middle name seen as Curethers and Carruthers, but is thought correctly to be Carrithers as his granddaughter, Clyde Carrithers Allison, most likely obtained her middle name from him.
